Thorough, Fast Intake Process

One call or email is all it takes to get started. From there, we handle the intake conversation, a meet and greet, and careful housemate compatibility matching. We make sure everything is right before a placement is confirmed.

Care That Builds Independence

Our capacity building approach is designed to help participants grow toward their NDIS goals over time. Support at Guardian is personalised and purposeful, not just daily tasks on a checklist.

A Familiar & Supportive Home

Participants at Guardian are supported by the same dedicated team, day after day. We take the time to support each person's goals, preferences and routines, working closely with families and allied health professionals to help participants live the life they choose.

NDIS Registered Provider

Guardian is a registered NDIS provider, fully compliant with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Every staff member holds police clearance, a Working With Children Check, and current first aid certification.

Person-Centered Care

Guardian's philosophy is that the participant and their outcomes comes first - always. If our vacancies aren't the right fit, we'll connect you with another trusted local provider rather than leave you without a next step.

Business day response time. Every time.

Trusted by Participants and Families Across the Hunter

Since opening in 2020, our focus has remained simple and strong. To provide caring, compassionate and individualised support that helps each participant live with choice, control and genuine independence.

We're a small team - intentionally so - because we believe the best care comes from people who genuinely know the person they are supporting. For each participant we work with, our approach remains the same: Holistic and personalised support, genuine relationships and a commitment to quality care.

The Big Questions

How quickly will you respond to my enquiry?

We commit to responding to every enquiry within the next business day, and we often reply sooner. You'll hear from us via phone call or an email - whichever you prefer. We know that waiting on a provider can feel frustrating, and we don't want to add to that.

How do you make sure the placement is the right fit?

Getting the fit right is one of the most important things we do! Every potential placement starts with an intake conversation to understand the participant's needs, goals, and personality. From there, we arrange a meet and greet, and carefully assess compatibility with anyone already living in the home. If we don't think it's the right match - for the participant or for the house  - we'll be honest about it, and we'll help you find an alternative.

Does the participant need SIL funding already approved?

Yes. Guardian's placements are for participants who already have SIL funding approved in their NDIS plan. If funding is still being reviewed or hasn't been approved yet, we're more than happy to have an early conversation and help plan for when it comes through.

Will the participant have the same support workers consistently?

Guardian operates with a small, dedicated team and we are able to offer a level of consistency and personal attention that larger provideres often can't. We take the time to get to know each individual, their preferences, their routine, and what a good day looks like for them. Consistency matters for building trust and making real progress towards their NDIS goals.

What if it isn't working out?

Participant choice and control is a value we hold genuinely.  We work hard to get placements right from the start, but if circumstances change, participants are free to leave with the industry-standard 30 days' notice. We won't make that harder than it needs to be.

If Guardian isn't the right fit - whether it's our homes, our team, or our current availability - we'll connect you with another trusted local provider. We'd rather do what's right for the participant than hold onto an enquiry that isn't a match.
